Condrieu is a small vineyard, located on steep hills of the right bank of the Rhône, which produces wines with very different personalities.
A single grape variety is used in the composition of Condrieu wines: the viognier, smooth and expressive. The harvest of our Vin Rare were made by hand, and the grapes transported in crates essentially. The fermentations took place in vats and in barrels, at low temperature. The wine was then aged partially in vats and barrels.
The dress is shiny and lightly golden. The nose, extremely rich, constantly evolving with astonishing power. We at first glance perceives floral notes (rose, violet). Are coming then aromas more typical of the appellation: white peach, apricot, quince and mango.
Serve between 12°C & 14°C

The 2020 Condrieu Vin Rare showed nicely, with classic white peach and tangerine fruits as well as honeyed flowers and spicy nuances. Medium-bodied on the palate, it stays nicely balanced, has terrific purity, and a great finish.

Powerful and perfumed, this silky-tipped Viognier balances streaks of honey and cream against pristine apricot and white-peach flavors. It’s a mouthclinging wine, with a warming finish accented by smoke, schist and rose petals. It’s at peak now through 2027 but will hold further.

"The 2018 Condrieu Vin Rare is a solid effort with classic notes of orange blossom, honeyed citrus, and hints of apricot as well as medium body, a rounded, textured mouthfeel and good purity and freshness, while still packing some solid Condrieu oomph. Drink it over the coming 2-4 years."
This Rare Wine will be very appreciated as an aperitif, but will give the best of itself in combination with fragrant dishes or on a pan-fried foie gras. It will be delicious with roast poultry or beautiful cheeses.
